Heads up, Waupun! Our annual hydrant flushing program is coming up!
Starting Monday, October 12, Waupun Utilities will begin flushing dead-end hydrants throughout the community. The work is expected to take approximately 2–3 days, with flushing taking place between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
This routine maintenance helps maintain water quality by removing sediment and stagnant water from the water main system and ensuring our hydrants and water mains are operating properly.
Customers in the affected areas may notice temporary yellow, brown, or cloudy water while flushing is taking place. If you experience discoloration, please run your cold water for a few minutes until it clears. We also recommend avoiding laundry until your water has returned to normal.
