Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator
Waupun Utilities is seeking a Certified Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator. This position involves performing technical work in the operation of both a wastewater treatment facility and a reverse osmosis water treatment facility. Responsibilities include:
- Collecting samples and performing tests
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory and permit requirements
- Evaluating and troubleshooting facility operations and maintenance
Ideal candidates should have experience in repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment such as centrifugal pumps, diaphragm pumps, chemical displacement pumps, blowers, sewage lift stations, belt filter presses, water processing equipment, and both air and electrically operated valves.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Moderate experience in a wastewater treatment facility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Wisconsin Wastewater Treatment Operator Advanced Certification required within 24 months of hire
- Valid driver’s license
This is a full-time, non-represented, non-exempt position. The starting wage range is $29.42 to $34.46 per hour, depending on qualifications.
