Waupun Utilities feels that it is our responsibility to give something back to the community and contribute to educational efforts. Because of this, each year we sponsor a $1,000 scholarship for seniors pursuing post-secondary education, along with a $1,000 lineworker scholarship towards a career as a lineworker.
"Powering Futures" Scholarship Fund through MEUW
Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin (MEUW) provides its “Powering Futures” Scholarship to support students pursuing careers in electrical power distribution. Applications for this year’s awards will be accepted until Jan. 26, 2023. To be eligible, students must reside in a Wisconsin public power community and must be pursuing post-secondary education to become a Field Service Technician, Groundman, Lineman Apprentice, Electric Meter Technician, Substation Electrician Apprentice or Utility Technician. For those individuals pursuing a degree or training in the field of drinkingwater supply and treatment, the Young Professionals Committee of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Water Works Association is accepting applications for their annual scholarship through April 22, 2022.
