Waupun Utilities is looking for a Water & Wastewater Treatment Facilities Operator - Youth Apprentice to join our dynamic team!
This exciting opportunity is perfect for individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the field of water and wastewater treatment while receiving valuable training and mentorship. As a Youth Apprentice, you’ll have the chance to develop the skills needed to maintain and operate our state-of-the-art treatment facilities while working alongside experienced professionals.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of the Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Facility and ABNR Wastewater Treatment Facility.
- Learn about water treatment processes, wastewater management, and environmental compliance.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth facility operations.
- Gain practical knowledge through on-the-job training, supported by educational resources and mentorship.
- Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth and career advancement.
Who We're Looking For:
- Motivated, responsible, and hardworking individuals who are ready to learn and grow in the utilities industry.
- Junior-senior high school students with an interest in science, engineering, or environmental studies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to safety and quality.
